Miramar Beach Smart Home Technology Guide

This home is equipped with several smart home technologies, this section will help explain these features and how to use them.

• Yale & Schlage smart locks: Prior to arrival you were sent a 4-digit code to unlock the front door. Your code wont work on any of the other locks (garage, backdoor or tool shed). These locks are equipped with tampering alarms and may sound if you try to force the door open or slam it shut. You can lock the doors from the outside by pushing the Yale logo on the front of the keypad. You can open the lock by first pushing the Yale Logo, type in 4 digit code and hit the check mark (bottom left), the door lock will open.
• WiFi routers: there are two routers on property. One is locked in a cabinet, the other is in the lower master suite. Please do not unplug or try and tamper with the routers as this will impact your wifi while you’re here. Wifi network is WelcomeHomeMB, password is BestVacationEver.
• Smart TVs & Apple TVs: All the TVs have AppleTVs so you can login to your Netflix, Hulu or Prime accounts. All but the bunk room are Apple TV equipped, so you can login to you iTunes account also if you desire. The bunk room is a Roku TV and has similar features as the AppleTV. Please be sure to log out when you depart and do not change the network settings on the Smart TVs or the AppleTV otherwise they will stop functioning for your stay and the next guest. Please make sure you log off of any accounts before you depart.
• Ring Alarm and Outdoor security cameras. This home is equipped with a security system that is professionally monitored 24x7. Every exterior door has a sensor on it and will chime when opened. There are also motion sensors. We do not arm this security system while you are staying with us, so please lock the doors when you leave during the day. The outdoor cameras are functioning and are for security of the home and will monitor any outdoor activity in case of an event. These cameras are found on the: doorbell, above garage, in garage and in the backyard.
• Smart Thermostats: There are two Nest smart thermostats on property. One on the main floor and one on the second floor. These thermostats are set to make sure the home is comfortable and auto adjust based on occupancy of the home and outdoor weather. You have the ability to adjust the temperature manually between 70F – 80F.
